THANK YOU THANK YOU
To all our Wonderful Community Volunteers and FLVF Board Members who offered their service to Loma Vista Farm’s Earth Day Celebration. With a force of over 60 volunteers, a whole lot of work was completed!

-Clearing two large garden plots and forming planting beds (The students from LVESA will be thanking the Garden Fairies)
-Weeding the Native Plant hillside area
-Weed whacking the pond surround
-Distributed weed suppressing wood chips around the pond
-Cutting up and removing a large pile of scrap lumber

Kohl’s Cares About Our Community
We are very grateful to our Corporate Partner of the Month, Kohl’s Associates in Action teams from Napa, Petaluma, Pleasant Hill, Vacaville and Vallejo. In addition to the work the teams accomplished from these 5 stores (40 helping hands), the company is donating $7,500 to the Friends of Loma Vista Farm so we can continue to serve the needs of Vallejo families and students of LVESA.

School Lunch Garden Dedication
Blessings to the Friends and Family that joined us for the garden dedication in honor of our dear Andrea Laurette Mrotz. Whitney Ball’s heartfelt words brought back fond memories of the many hours that she and Andrea spent together to get this amazing project going in 2013. Andrea’s spirit and dedicated activism affected so many and she is very loved!

The Vallejo High Leo Club tackled Phase 2 of the Native American Area Restoration project. Jenelle Alviz and a team of 12 hardworking young men and women cleared the space and came up with some great ideas on the next phase of the project. Thank you for your service at the farm and all the other projects that you support in Vallejo!

Next month the Friends of Loma Vista Farm will be hosting the annual Spring Festival on May 17th 11am – 4pm. I hope you can all join us for another awesome day to celebrate our 40 years in Vallejo!
