Zucchini plants can look dramatic, but not every problem means disaster 🥒Here are a few common signs that the plant may be in stress:
🌼 Male flowers often show up first, so don’t panic right away
🍃 White powder on leaves is usually powdery mildew
💧 Rotten tips can happen when watering is uneven
🐛 Sudden wilt may mean squash vine borer
🌸 Tiny fruit shriveling is often poor pollination
✋ Hand pollinating can help when bees aren’t visiting much.
The sooner you spot the pattern, the easier it is to fix before the plant gives up. I always try to figure out what the plant is showing before I start applying a remedy.
At Loma Vista Farm we make it a point to grow Zucchini every year and always look forward to a bountiful harvest.
Happy growing,
