Friday morning, December 13, the volunteers for the Christmas tree fundraiser were met with an unpleasant surprise at the Farm. The canopy where the fundraiser was being held was broken.
Everything inside the canopy was wet and on the ground. The tables inside and outside the canopy had collapsed (this picture was taken after the tables and chairs were set back up). The storage shed had been opened. Christmas trees were on the ground. Because of this disaster, hours for the fundraiser were greatly reduced on Friday and Saturday. Sunday was canceled.
People are always so happy to come to the Friends of Loma Vista Farm’s fundraiser to buy their beautiful Christmas tree every year. This year it was a disappointing ending to an otherwise positive fundraising event.
For those who were able to come to the Farm to buy their Christmas tree this year, I hope you again had a great experience. Money raised from this fundraiser goes toward various Farm programs, upkeep and care for the animals.
Thank you again for your continued support.
Have a safe and happy holiday season!
