Harvest Festival was a hit…and a good time was had by all!
The Friends of Loma Vista Farm were thrilled to see so many families come to our harvest festival and enjoy themselves at this gorgeous fall day. This year we also had the Vallejo School District, the Vallejo Library, 2 Garden Clubs, the Rose Society, and a few other organizations set up a booth at the farm handing out information materials.
A variety of family-friendly activities were offered, the kids were able to ride a train and the fun bus, have their faces painted, participate in a scavenger hunt, try their hand at stone and mask painting, and of course visit with our farm animals. Many enjoyed a hot dog or popcorn, and of course the kids were all over the cookies, muffins and the snow cones.
Not to be left out, parents enjoyed some goodies from the “country store”, or plants from the farm’s green house and handpick their pumpkin to take home. There definitely was something for everyone.
We appreciate everyone that came out to visit the farm. For some it was their first time and hopefully not the last, while others were repeat visitors. Out festivals serve the purpose of raising funds to care for the animals and maintain the farm.
