Have you been recently to the farm and wondering why our new barn is not occupied yet? The FLVF Board decided that it would not be a good idea to move Keebler and Oreo to their new home as it possibly could be very traumatic for them. Keebler and Oreo are very old (for cows) and have lived in their current area for all of their time with us. It was a tough decision for the Board, but we believe that it was the right decision.
Having said that, we wanted to let you know that we are looking for new cows to be housed in the barn. We have been on the hunt for miniature cows (Highland or Dexter) or regular sized cows that are healthy and can be donated to us. We are hoping to have new residents in the barn and pasture area by the Harvest Festival (October 17).
We will keep you updated on acquiring new cows and hope to see you at our upcoming Pasta Feed (September 19) or the Harvest Festival. Stay tuned!
