treasured community resource

For over 50 years, Loma Vista Farm has been a treasured part of our VCUSD community. This beautiful and accessible farm in the middle of Vallejo gives students, families, and visitors a place to learn, explore, and connect with animals in a hands-on environment. What a unique asset to our Vallejo students and community!

Last month, we proudly celebrated the unveiling of a new cow barn, the first significant upgrade to the farm’s original 1974 structure. In addition to support from VCUSD and Friends of Loma Vista Farm, generous partners like Valero Energy have made this barn possible. This new space offers a safer, drier, more comfortable home for longtime farm residents Keebler and Oreo and any new cows the farm may take in. Huge shoutout to Farmer Rita and all who make Loma Vista Farm a magical place for animals and people alike.
To support Loma Vista Farm’s ongoing care and maintenance, the farm is hosting its Pasta Feed & Auction fundraiser on August 9, which is open to all! Visit lomavistafarm.org for tickets.
At VCUSD, we believe in nurturing curiosity, compassion, and community, and Loma Vista Farm embodies all three.
