Which Trellis is right for you?

Here is a question farmer Rita gets asked a lot. What style of trellis should I use for my vegetable garden?  Well, that depends on what you are planning to grow.  Generally, flowers and light weight fruits and vegetables such as peas and beans do not need much weight support, so a string trellis would be just fine.  If you are growing cucumbers and smaller squash an A-frame trellis is appropriate. Heavy squash, pumpkins and melons require a much stronger structure.
