What’s Next for Loma Vista Farm?

To our wonderful volunteers,

volunteers at Loma Vista Farm VallejoYou may have heard that the Vallejo City Unified School District voted last week to close the Loma Vista Environmental Sciences Academy at the end of this school year. We really don’t know, at this point, how this is going to impact our work at the Farm, but we do know that we will not be able to continue to keep the Farm open without your time and support.  Each one of you has become a valuable part of the Farm and the work that we do there.  And, we still have much work to do!

After 50 years, I do not believe that any one of us is happy about this decision however we are all creative and hard-working people, dedicated to the mission of the Farm.  I sincerely hope that you will continue your work with us and cannot thank you enough for everything that you have already done to provide such a unique and engaging experience for our community.

We will keep you posted on any decisions or steps that are taken in the near future, regarding our continuing work at the Farm.

I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your help and look forward to our continuing work together.
