Mission Statement
Loma Vista Farm is a 5-acre outdoor classroom that provides hands-on educational activities involving plants and animals for children of all ages and abilities. We seek to increase students’ knowledge of nature and nutrition while enhancing academic learning, ecoliteracy, and psychosocial development.

The Farm offers field trips, after-school opportunities through 4-H, community service and volunteer opportunities, garden-based workshops for adults, and job training for college students, developmentally disabled young adults, and disadvantaged youth.

Loma Vista Farm is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. during the school year. It is closed on holidays and follows the Vallejo School District calendar. The Farm is open occasionally during school breaks, Saturdays, and summer hours. Call for more information.

We are having our annual Loma Vista Farm Spring Festival May 17th, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is an opportunity for friends and families to come out to the Farm and participate in Farm crafts and activities. Project Clean Sweep Continues

News From the Farm,  March 15, 2014


We had a great day working on the Farm this past Saturday, March 15, 2014.

Forty-one volunteers came out to help, including visitors that had never been to the Farm and purchased $42 worth of plants.

Britt Hammon, Principal of Loma Vista Environmental Sciences Academy, led a team of Touro University students in digging the plot on the northeast corner of the garden, applying wood chips to the walkway and prepping the beds for the kids to transplant this week. Continue reading
