Their next project is the Alpaca\/Sheep Barn. Below are the features and timeline of the new barn. Find out how you can help <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"https:\/\/lomavistafarm.org\/lomavista\/masterplan\/stage-2\/funding-for-the-new-alpaca-sheep-barn\/\">fund<\/a><\/strong><\/span> this great project.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The new goat barn design was carefully thought through to ensure\u00a0nothing was missed. This project is a huge undertaking and will\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">modernize the Farm&#8217;s Alpaca barn for safety and efficiency!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>Features of the new alpaca\/sheep barn design include:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Pens on both sides of a 8-foot covered walkway so that students and alpacas\/sheep\u00a0can greet each other any time of the year.<\/li>\n<li>Indoor pens with roof tall enough so that caretakers and Farm staff can work comfortably and easily keep pens clean.<\/li>\n<li>Eco-friendly design to ensure that water drainage and waste can be recycled for farm use, moving manure to the gardens while filtering and recycling water.<\/li>\n<li>Barn design to allow all children full and safe access to the farm animals.<\/li>\n<li>Full access for all students and adults including special-need students\/adults.<\/li>\n<li>Building design allowing for self-cooling in the summer and warming in the winter, with a porch on the side hit by winter rains to keep the stalls dry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Features of the new barn include:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Heat control during summer months with insulated walls and ceiling fan<\/li>\n<li>Rainwater capture and recycled<\/li>\n<li>Utility station for farm events<\/li>\n<li>Drainage allowing for recycle of manure for the gardens<\/li>\n<li>Food storage and secure storage room.<\/li>\n<li>Walkway allowing wheelchair accessibility to goats so that all children can enjoy an equal experience<\/li>\n<li>Water access and feeders in all pens<\/li>\n<li>Washing station for students in aisle<\/li>\n<li>Better exterior lighting for safety<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"yiv0916297774page\" title=\"Page 9\">\n<div foundation started<\/li>\n<li>October 2020:\u00a0\u00a0New barn structure delivered and raising the barn start.<\/li>\n<li>October\/November 2020:\u00a0 Drainage, floors, hoof grid, electrical, and
