Albert is a Quarter Horse/Appaloosa. Albert is 37 years old and has lived at Loma Vista Farm since 1986. He just loves the attention of visitors to the farm. Albert is always eager to greet the visiting children who are awed and intrigued by his size and personality. Albert is known to slobber and spit on visitors as a sign of his happiness.
Gypsy is a miniature horse who is 32 years old. We all look up to Gypsy. Even the Farm staff has been seen secretly seeking advice from Gypsy from time to time through the years! Gypsy is wise and full of knowledge he’s gained over the years. Gypsy loves to “nicker.” He loves being visited by the children and just loves the attention he gets from them. Gypsy and Bobby K enjoy a much quieter relationship and take quiet naps together next to each other in their barn.
Bobby K, a 20-year-old Welsh/Cobb Pony, is one of the elders on the farm. Bobby K is our “pick-pocket” horse at the farm. Never carry anything in your pockets when visiting Bobby K. He will search all your pockets for treats, and remove any contents in the process. Bobby K is known for taking off buttons and coats from visitors. Bobby K has been known to goose (bumps your butt) visitors in a playful way!
Albert likes to lick Farmer Mark on the head when he’s cleaning his water bowl. When brushing Albert, he’s eager to return the favor!
Bobby K and Albert are buddies as they roam their pens. Oddly enough, Bobby K thinks he’s as big as Albert. They are often seen running and playing together through the fence separating their paddocks, which often results in one of them losing his halter. But they never tell on each other! Bobby K also loves to hang his head through the fence so the little children can pet him and have their photos taken with him.
